News Flash: West Wittering Cricket Club WON the West Sussex Cricket League Div II - by winning their last Match against 2nd placed Dome Mission on 30th August 2008. (Played 13 Won 13 - 1 Abandoned)  This is a major Club achievement after only playing 5 seasons of League cricket.  The Saturday League side has been led from the front by Richard Nichols and Nigel Twiddy - Congratulations to them and the team!

The WWCC was established in 1919 and have since then enjoyed promoting the spirit of cricket in the village for 89 years. WWCC is based in the seaside village of West Wittering on the edge of Chichester harbor in West Sussex seven miles south of Chichester.

WWCC is a registered Community Amateur Sports Club CASC and thus is a non-profit making organisation with all surplus income raised being re-invested in sports development. The WWCC Constitution can be seen under the Committee section of this web site.

Until 2004 the club only played friendly Sunday cricket and occasional 20 over evening matches. However, since the WWCC moved to its new ground in Elms Lane in 2003 and through a major fundraising activity built its own pavilion, the club has gone from strength to strength. In 2004 WWCC entered the West Sussex Cricket League. This was the first time that WWCC has played league cricket. In 2005 WWCC fielded 2 teams; a Saturday League XI, Sunday friendly XI, as well as entering for the first time the npower Village Cup. In 2006 WWCC has entered 2 colts teams into local leagues for the first time.  In 2008 we shall be enjoying the company of our first official overseas player from Tasmania, Australia.

WWCC has also facilitated 2 croquet courts and a petanque piste to encourage other social members.
